Welcome to Jane's Place ELC Turramurra.

At Jane's Place Early Learning Centre Turramurra, we are a family-owned and operated childcare service proudly caring for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm, we are committed to providing a nurturing, safe, and inspiring environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

We believe that exceptional early education begins with exceptional educators. Our highly qualified, experienced, and passionate team is dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences that support each child's individual development and wellbeing.

Our purpose-built centre features three beautifully designed learning environments, each thoughtfully created to provide a warm, home-away-from-home atmosphere. These indoor spaces flow seamlessly into our stunning natural outdoor play areas, allowing children uninterrupted opportunities to connect with nature, explore their surroundings, and learn through play every day.

As a proud screen-free centre, we focus on hands-on learning, creativity, social connection, and real-world experiences. Our educational program actively nurtures curiosity through STEM-based learning opportunities while encouraging exploration, discovery, and problem-solving skills. Children also enjoy specialist experiences including music, drama, yoga, creative arts, and gross motor development programs.

To support growing minds and bodies, we provide five nutritious meals daily, all freshly prepared and cooked onsite by our qualified chef using quality ingredients.

Our Rooms

We have three specially designed rooms to cater to the developmental needs of children across various age groups:

  • Koala Room
    6 weeks – 2 years
    Daily Fees: $196

  • Wombat Room
    2 – 3 years
    Daily Fees: $188

  • Kookaburra Room
    3 – 5 years
    Daily Fees: $184

The homely, nurturing environment of our Koala Room (6 weeks to 2 years old) is initially geared towards helping each child settle in and socialise. This is a priority in the early days of your child’s care and will vary according to each child’s individual needs.

The exciting interest-based program flowing between our Wombat Room (2 and 3 years old) and our Kookaburra Room (3 to 5 years old) is supported and fostered through a school readiness program. This focuses specifically on the development of children’s Language and Literacy skills and is achieved through various literacy programmes using pictogram characters to make learning fun!

Across all rooms, we actively nurture each child’s curiosity and provide opportunities for exploration and discovery through our STEM Curriculum. We also offer a creative expression program, including music, drama, yoga, specialist art sessions, and gross motor activities.

In addition, children participate in excursions and community-based activities, expanding their everyday experiences and fostering a broader understanding of the world around them.

 About each room

Koala Room | 6 weeks-2 years old

Our Koala Room has been thoughtfully designed to provide the highest level of comfort, care, and learning for our youngest children. This beautiful bespoke environment features soaring high ceilings and an abundance of natural sunlight, creating a warm, calm, and welcoming space where babies and toddlers can feel safe, secure, and at home.

Children enjoy direct access to our natural outdoor learning environment, where they can explore a dedicated yard complete with a sandpit, established trees, and nature-inspired play spaces. These carefully designed outdoor areas encourage curiosity, sensory exploration, and a connection with the natural world from an early age.

Our premium sleep rooms have been created with rest and wellbeing in mind, featuring cosy cots and beautiful furnishings that provide a peaceful, home-like atmosphere. We recognise the importance of quality sleep and work closely with families to ensure each child's individual sleeping needs are met.

At Jane's Place, we understand that every child is unique. Our nurturing educators are dedicated to building strong partnerships with families and take the time to closely mirror each child's home routine, including feeding, sleeping, and care practices. This personalised approach helps children settle confidently into care while providing families with peace of mind knowing their child is receiving the highest standard of individualised care and attention.

Through responsive relationships, sensory-rich experiences, and play-based learning opportunities, our Koala Room provides a secure foundation where children can grow, develop, and thrive during these important early years.

Wombat Room | 2-3 years old

Our Wombat Room has been thoughtfully designed to support the exciting stage of development where toddlers become increasingly independent, confident, and engaged in the world around them. Filled with natural light and featuring beautiful bespoke furnishings, the room provides a welcoming environment where children feel safe to explore, learn, and grow.

With direct access to our nature-inspired outdoor learning spaces, children can move freely between indoor and outdoor environments throughout the day. The outdoor area features natural elements, open-ended play experiences, and opportunities for children to develop their physical skills while fostering a love of nature and exploration.

During these important years, our educators focus on helping children build their independence, confidence, and sense of belonging. Through meaningful interactions and play-based learning experiences, children are encouraged to make choices, develop self-help skills, and establish positive friendships with their peers. Our educators carefully support social and emotional development, helping children learn to communicate, cooperate, and thrive within a group setting.

A strong emphasis is placed on continuity of care, with our Wombat and Kookaburra Room educators working closely together to ensure transitions between rooms are smooth and familiar. Children moving through the service are supported by educators who know them well, creating a seamless journey throughout their early learning years.

Kookaburra Room | 3-5 years old

Our Kookaburra Room provides a stimulating and engaging environment where children are encouraged to become confident, capable learners as they prepare for their transition to primary school. Purposefully designed with beautiful natural light, inviting learning spaces, and direct access to our outdoor environment, the room inspires curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Children participate in our rich play-based curriculum, incorporating STEM learning, creative arts, music, yoga, dramatic play, literacy, numeracy, and collaborative projects.

Our experienced educators thoughtfully extend each child's interests while fostering independence, resilience, and problem-solving skills.

As children move closer to starting school, our educators place additional focus on school readiness and social development. Through intentional teaching and group learning experiences, children develop essential skills including communication, emotional regulation, confidence, self-help skills, concentration, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. These foundational skills help ensure children feel well prepared and excited for their next educational journey.

Our Kookaburra educators work closely alongside the Wombat Room team, ensuring a seamless transition for children moving between rooms. By maintaining strong relationships with both children and families, we create a consistent and supportive pathway through each stage of their early learning experience, helping every child feel confident, secure, and ready to thrive.

Transition

At Jane’s place, we aim to ensure room transitions are a positive experience for your child.

Leading up to your child’s birthday, educators from both rooms begin to discuss and develop your child’s transition program. We will discuss and develop this transition period with you. This process will be guided by your child’s readiness to transition.

Follow our journey.
